MEET BRANDY JENKINS

Brandy Jenkins is a proud Knoxvillian whose life reflects service, dedication, & a deep commitment to South County families. Raised in Knoxville, Brandy grew up in her parents’ family business, Phoenix Glass, a trusted auto glass shop serving the community for over 40 years. There, she met the people her parents served & learned firsthand that strong communities are built through hard work, meaningful relationships, & showing up for others.  She brings those values into her life as a mom, volunteer, & advocate.

Brandy has supported public education through PTO involvement, fundraisers, classroom volunteering, and youth sports, including coaching with AYSO. Her advocacy deepened when her oldest daughter, a straight-A student, was nearly held back under Tennessee’s Third Grade Retention law, revealing how disconnected high-stakes testing can be from real learning. With nearly two decades of experience in operations and problem-solving, she has helped families navigate policy challenges and pushed for solutions that support both students and teachers.

Brandy is running for Knox County School Board, District 9 to bring thoughtful, community-focused leadership to South Knoxville. She believes in listening first, communicating honestly, and keeping taxpayer dollars in public classrooms. Above all, she is committed to putting students at the center of every decision and strengthening the neighborhood schools that help every child thrive.
